Meglio il 2016! Da "Post Pop Depression": Iggy Pop - American Vahlalla

 “I’ve nothing but my name”, ripete Iggy Pop con fermezza in coda ad American Valhalla. E anche se il suo nome leggendario basta a se stesso, ad accompagnarlo in “Post Pop Depression” c’è quello di Josh Homme, leader di Kyuss prima e Queens Of The Stone Age dopo, del polistrumentista Dean Fertita – di QOTSA e The Dead Weather – e di Matt Helders, batterista degli Arctic Monkeys. 

E visto che Iggy aveva mandato un po' materiale a Josh, testi e degli appunti sui vecchi tempi trascorsi a collaborare con David Bowie, si sono messi a buttare giù un po' di idee mentre Homme co-produceva l'album Humbug del 2009 degli Arctic Monkeys nello studio Rancho De La Luna, a Joshua Tree in California.
